“This song is essentially my attempt at a lullaby. The lyrics are a celebration of sleepiness, but they also hint at the frustration of knowing it becomes less of a pleasure and more of a burden the more you have to fight it. Being a teenager automatically seems to make you tired a lot of the time, but beyond that, mental health and a finicky thyroid have added to the equation for me. Fatigue is a battle, and most of the time it’s worth fighting, but I’ve learned that sometimes it’s okay to surrender for a little while.” -@MiaStegner on Instagram, 2/13/19
